About Sarah

Sarah writes page-turning historical fiction and crime thrillers driven by suspense, layered characters, and unexpected twists. Whether set in the past or the present, her novels explore high stakes, human complexity, and the choices that define us.

Her crime thrillers, LAPSE and WHITE THROAT, were shortlisted for the Australian Crime Writers Association "Ned Kelly" Awards. And her new foray into historical fiction is equally as compelling - based on a true story, Book One of the Thomas Burbury series arrives in November 2026. "a riveting thriller with a heroine willing to get her hands dirty to find the answers she seeks."

Kirkus Reviews

"crisply composed, unspooling with finely judged pace and suspense. A good bet for anyone casting about for a new Australian crime series to read over summer."

Bio

Sarah cast off the lines to her legal career not long after being declared Australian Corporate Lawyer of the Year in 2016. With her husband, Dean, she boarded the good ship, Live Louder - a 45 foot sailing catamaran - and began an epic adventure on the high seas.

Sarah and Dean live partly aboard Live Louder and partly at their home in Brisbane.
